How do I know if Iam being sued by creditors?
When I opened credit accounts I was living in Texas with a different phone number. I have unpaid credit cards due to personal issues, now I moved to Arizona. I havent heard from the creditors any more my accounts are about 4-6 yrs old. Now if I file for bankruptcy, and my spouse and i file jointly will this effect any thing on his name? Iam not working at the moment so I have no checks coming in my name, this is if they were to have a garnish right from the judge, what could they take from me? there supposed to serve your with papers for court order or send certified mail, but I have moved so much and changed phone nubmers. How will I know if iam being sued Iam scared that all of a sudden they start withdrawing money from my husbands account. what do I do?!!!!
You would be served a summons. You wont be sued without knowing it.
