My dog seems fine right now but is there anything I should do for the time being?
Yes, it’s a bark scorpion. You should probably call your vet for advice as the bark scorpion is the most venomous scorpion in North America. Serious complications in dogs are rare, but it can be dangerous to small dogs, or dogs that happen to be allergic to the venom.
