Arizona Bark Scorpion Sting?

I live in Arizona, USA. I was just stung by what looked like a small, clear yellow scorpion, in my bed while sleeping. I immediately jumped out of bed after feeling an extreme stinging burning sensation on the tip of my toe. I grabbed my toe and squeezed around the sting area, managing to squeeze out a small clear drop of venom. I then washed my toe and placed a cold compression of ice onto it.

After a little researching I’m guessing it was and Arizona bark scorpion, because it is what most closely resembled the scorpion that was in my bed.

I’m wondering if there are any other treatment methods I can do and if the venom will eventually dissipate or dissolve on its own. Going to the hospital at 5 in the morning is out of the question, and other than the stinging sensation around the toe, I am having no other symptoms. As I am writing this question, it has been about an hour since I was stung.

If you were going to have a bad reaction to the sting, it would have happened already, so you should be fine now. It’ll dissipate over the next day or so. Arizona Bark do have some of the nastier venom, but it shouldn’t cause any serious medical concern unless you’re otherwise unhealthy or very young/old. Any allergic reaction would happen within a couple minutes of being stung.
