Court people: what is appropriate attire for a 16 year old for court?(link?
going tommorow to court
i live in las vegas,nv (if that matters)
told my dad i should buy slacks but he insists wearing jeans is okay which i disagree because its a serious case (statutory sexual seduction)
tonight i plan on asking him to take me to jcpenney or something
i’m taking this very seriously for good first impression
but i have nothing fancy(well i do but the defendant’s gf gave it to me)

You are absolutely right. First impressions really are very important, especially in court as the judge has no idea who you are, only what he reads in the file. I commend you for taking it seriously.
By looking at your picture alongside your name, you are obviously a girl. No, jeans and purple shoes are not appropriate. Fellas have it easier as all they have to do is purchase a blue or black suit and tie. Girls, have options, like a nice, length appropriate dress. Or a nice suit. I have seen some very nice business suits for professional women now, if you dont like dresses. CONSERVATIVE AND TASTEFUL are the keywords here.
Dress ladylike, especially since the case has something to do with sex.
