Important question about writing people in Jail?
Hey I was curious how long it takes for an inmate to recieve a letter you send? I was also curious how long it can take before you get a letter back. Assuming they write back as soon as they got it. I used this Format to send the letter

Is that the correct format?
Of course I know the Inmate.
Im not poking around, Im writing a letter to someone that was put in jail, someone I have known my entire life. Im not just writing to a random person. Thanx for the concern though
That is the correct format. Unlike some other who has answered this question before me, I am aware that a particular crime is usually very related to its context. In all our lives, the longer we live the more we may look back on things done we never believed we would do.
Anyway, it should take a day or two if sent from within the same state. I used to get letters from the woman I eventually married (who at the time lived 1800 miles away) and it took about a week. I mean a whole week! Otherwise, it is only about a day’s difference from a regular letter anywhere.
